Fire Damage at The Shelter

Late one night, several years ago, the fire alarm went off in the old annex building.
It has to be a Homeless Shelter Manager's worst nightmare, but there was one blessing.

As you look at these pictures, remember, Everybody got out safely.

The Living Room

This is the living room area of the building where the fire may have started.

This bedroom had been occupied when the fire began.
Notice the melted fan still hanging from the ceiling.

Again, this room had been occupied at the time, but everybody got out safely.

As you have seen, the building was a total loss, structure and contents.

Since then, the shelter has rebuilt and expanded with the new building from the ground up, and in the end, it did work out for the best.
